Big Nose Workshop is situated at the foot of the Morrone mountain just outside of Braemar in Scotland. The workshop takes its name from the mountain; Morrone meaning ‘Big nose’ in Gaelic.

The workshop is the working studio of artist Felix Zandt: a place to paint, sculpt and frame artworks. The ethos of workshop is to allow for learning and experimentation, with a particular focus on locally sourced woods as a medium.

Felix has been a practicing artist since he graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2012. He previously owned and managed the experimental framing workshop, Lacuna Frames of Glasgow. And before this he trained and worked as a scenic artist for the Royal Opera House in London.
